ततस्तु वत्सरे पूर्णे याज्ञवल्क्यस्तदन्तिकम् । गत्वा प्रोवाच किं कष्टं त्वं करोषि शुचिस्मिते
tatastu vatsare pūrṇe yājñavalkyastadantikam | gatvā provāca kiṃ kaṣṭaṃ tvaṃ karoṣi śucismite
പിന്നീട് വർഷം പൂർത്തിയായപ്പോൾ യാജ്ഞവൽക്യൻ അവളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് ചെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു— “ശുചിസ്മിതേ, നീ ഏതു കഷ്ടസാധ്യമായ വ്രതമാണ് അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നത്?”
