ततश्च शांतिकं कृत्वा जपांते भूपतिं च तम् । शांतोदकप्रदानाय हस्यमानो जनैर्ययौ
tataśca śāṃtikaṃ kṛtvā japāṃte bhūpatiṃ ca tam | śāṃtodakapradānāya hasyamāno janairyayau
അനന്തരം ശാന്തികർമ്മം ചെയ്തു, ആ രാജാവിനുവേണ്ടി ജപാന്തം സമാപിപ്പിച്ച്, ശാന്തോദകം നൽകാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ജനങ്ങൾ അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു ചിരിച്ചു।
