कर्णोत्पलोवाच । मम पत्युः कृते देवि मम तातः सुदुःखितः । राज्याद्भ्रष्टः सुखाच्चापि कुटुंबेन विवर्जितः
karṇotpalovāca | mama patyuḥ kṛte devi mama tātaḥ suduḥkhitaḥ | rājyādbhraṣṭaḥ sukhāccāpi kuṭuṃbena vivarjitaḥ
കർണോത്പല പറഞ്ഞു—“ദേവി, എന്റെ ഭർത്താവിന്റെ കാരണത്താൽ എന്റെ പിതാവ് അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിതനായി. അദ്ദേഹം രാജ്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ച്യുതനായി, സുഖത്തിൽ നിന്നും വഞ്ചിതനായി, കുടുംബത്തിൽ നിന്നും വേർപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.”
