ततश्च चिंतितं चित्ते स वन्यो मम पूर्वजः । येनैषोपार्जिता कीर्तिः शाश्वती क्षयवर्जिता
tataśca ciṃtitaṃ citte sa vanyo mama pūrvajaḥ | yenaiṣopārjitā kīrtiḥ śāśvatī kṣayavarjitā
അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ചിന്തിച്ചു—‘എന്റെ ആ പൂർവ്വികൻ സത്യമായും മഹാനായിരുന്നു; അവനാൽ തന്നെയാണ് ഈ കീർത്തി ലഭിച്ചത്—ശാശ്വതവും ക്ഷയരഹിതവും.’
