yadi pṛcchasi me bhūpa kanyādharmapatiṃ prati | tannaiṣā kasyaciddeyā sāṃprataṃ śṛṇu kāraṇam

ഹേ ഭൂപാ! നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിക്കു ധർമ്മസമ്മതനായ ഭർത്താവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, അറിയുക—ഇപ്പോൾ അവളെ ആര്ക്കും നല്കരുത്. ഇനി കാരണം കേൾക്കുക.
