श्रीभगवानुवाच । एतद्रूपं मया शक्र कृतं तस्य वधाय वै । अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां यतोन्येषां मया हतः
śrībhagavānuvāca | etadrūpaṃ mayā śakra kṛtaṃ tasya vadhāya vai | avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ yatonyeṣāṃ mayā hataḥ
ശ്രീഭഗവാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ ശക്രാ! അവനെ വധിക്കാനായി തന്നെയാണ് ഞാൻ ഈ രൂപം സ്വീകരിച്ചത്; അവൻ സർവ്വഭൂതങ്ങൾക്കും അവധ്യൻ ആയതിനാൽ മറ്റാരാലും അല്ല—എന്നാൽ തന്നെയാൽ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു।
