A king/ruler instructing his heirs and retainers
Type: kshetra
Scene: A righteous protector/king stands at the gate of a sacred town, offering protection to venerable Brahmins; enemies retreat; Lakṣmī-like prosperity imagery appears as auspicious signs.
Protection of dharma-bearers is portrayed as the hidden source of victory, authority, and prosperity.
The benefits are stated within the Śaṅkhatīrtha episode of the Tīrthamāhātmya.
Not a ritual; a results-statement (phalaśruti) tied to the duty of protecting Brahmins.
