सूत उवाच । अत्र वः कीर्तयिष्यामि देव्या माहात्म्यमुत्तमम् । श्रुतमात्रेऽपि मर्त्यानां येन शत्रुक्षयो भवेत्
sūta uvāca | atra vaḥ kīrtayiṣyāmi devyā māhātmyamuttamam | śrutamātre'pi martyānāṃ yena śatrukṣayo bhavet
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇവിടെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് ദേവിയുടെ പരമോത്തമ മാഹാത്മ്യം കീര്ത്തിക്കും; അത് കേൾക്കുന്നതുമാത്രം കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ മർത്ത്യർക്കു ശത്രുനാശം സംഭവിക്കും।
