शेषान्वः संप्रवक्ष्यामि ब्राह्मणान्गोत्रसंभवान् । कौशिकान्वयसं भूताः षड्विंशतिश्च ते स्मृताः
śeṣānvaḥ saṃpravakṣyāmi brāhmaṇāngotrasaṃbhavān | kauśikānvayasaṃ bhūtāḥ ṣaḍviṃśatiśca te smṛtāḥ
ഇപ്പോൾ ഗോത്രസംബന്ധമായി ജനിച്ച ശേഷിച്ച ബ്രാഹ്മണരെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് പറയുന്നു. കൗശിക വംശത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചവർ ഇരുപത്താറെന്ന് സ്മൃതിയിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു।
