ब्राह्मणा ऊत्रुः । आसीत्पूर्वं मुनिश्रेष्ठो लिखिताख्यो महीतले । शांडिल्यस्य मुनेः पुत्रस्तपोवीर्यसमन्वितः
brāhmaṇā ūtruḥ | āsītpūrvaṃ muniśreṣṭho likhitākhyo mahītale | śāṃḍilyasya muneḥ putrastapovīryasamanvitaḥ
ബ്രാഹ്മണർ പറഞ്ഞു—പൂർവകാലത്ത് ഭൂമിയിൽ ‘ലിഖിത’ എന്ന മുനിശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹം മുനി ശാണ്ഡില്യന്റെ പുത്രൻ, തപോബലസമ്പന്നൻ.
