ബ്രാഹ്മണർ പറഞ്ഞു—പൂർവകാലത്ത് ഭൂമിയിൽ ‘ലിഖിത’ എന്ന മുനിശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹം മുനി ശാണ്ഡില്യന്റെ പുത്രൻ, തപോബലസമ്പന്നൻ.
