हा वत्स मां परित्यज्य किं त्वं संप्रस्थितो दिवम् । प्राणेष्टं भ्रातरं श्रेष्ठं सदा तव मते स्थितम्
hā vatsa māṃ parityajya kiṃ tvaṃ saṃprasthito divam | prāṇeṣṭaṃ bhrātaraṃ śreṣṭhaṃ sadā tava mate sthitam
ഹാ വത്സാ! എന്നെ വിട്ട് നീ എന്തിന് സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രസ്ഥാനം ചെയ്തു? ഹേ ശ്രേഷ്ഠ സഹോദരാ, എന്റെ പ്രാണപ്രിയനേ—നീ എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ നിശ്ചയത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരനായിരുന്നു।
