तस्मात्पृच्छामहे सर्वे चरितं शंकरस्य च । व्यासप्रसादात्सर्वं यज्जानासि त्वं न चापरः
tasmātpṛcchāmahe sarve caritaṃ śaṃkarasya ca | vyāsaprasādātsarvaṃ yajjānāsi tvaṃ na cāparaḥ
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ശങ്കരന്റെ ചരിതവും ചോദിക്കുന്നു. വ്യാസപ്രസാദത്താൽ എല്ലാം നീയേ അറിയുന്നു—നിന്നൊഴികെ മറ്റാരുമില്ല।
