विष्णोस्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा दक्षश्चिंतापरोऽभवत् । विविर्णवदनो भूत्वा तूष्णीमासीद्भुवि स्थितः
viṣṇostadvacanaṃ śrutvā dakṣaściṃtāparo'bhavat | vivirṇavadano bhūtvā tūṣṇīmāsīdbhuvi sthitaḥ
വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ആ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ട് ദക്ഷൻ ആശങ്കയിൽ മുങ്ങി. അവന്റെ മുഖം വിവർണ്ണമായി; ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് മൗനമായി നിന്നു।
