tamānayāmi cātraiva tapasā kevalena hi | tapobalena mahatā susevyo hi sadāśivaḥ
Pārvatī (as quoted within Sūta’s narration)
Tirtha: Kedāra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sages/pilgrim audience
Scene: A determined sādhikā/sādhaka declares that by pure austerity here itself the Lord will be drawn near; the scene centers on intense meditation amid snow peaks, with a subtle vision of Sadāśiva appearing.
Tapas generates spiritual power (tapo-bala) that makes divine communion possible; sincere discipline is itself worship.
Kedārakhaṇḍa’s Himalayan sanctity is implied: the very place of tapas becomes a spiritual magnet for Sadāśiva’s presence.
Tapas alone is prescribed as the means of propitiation and attainment.
