अहो मोहस्य माहात्म्यं पश्यताविजितात्मनाम् । पठंति मातृकां पापा मन्यंते न सुरानिह
aho mohasya māhātmyaṃ paśyatāvijitātmanām | paṭhaṃti mātṛkāṃ pāpā manyaṃte na surāniha
അഹോ! ആത്മജയം നേടാത്തവരിൽ മോഹത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം എത്ര—പാപികൾ ‘മാതൃക’ പാരായണം ചെയ്യുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഇവിടെ ദേവന്മാരെ ഒട്ടും അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നില്ല।
