प्रत्यूषश्च प्रभासश्च अष्टौ ते वसवः स्मृताः । सौ हश्चेत्यश्विनौ ख्यातौ त्रयस्त्रिंशदिमे स्मृताः
pratyūṣaśca prabhāsaśca aṣṭau te vasavaḥ smṛtāḥ | sau haścetyaśvinau khyātau trayastriṃśadime smṛtāḥ
പ്രത്യൂഷനും പ്രഭാസനും—ഇങ്ങനെ ആ എട്ട് വസുക്കൾ സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ‘സൗ’യും ‘ഹ’യും എന്ന പേരിൽ രണ്ട് അശ്വിനികൾ പ്രസിദ്ധർ. ഇങ്ങനെ ഇവർ മുപ്പത്തിമൂന്ന് ദേവതകളായി സ്മൃതർ.
