पुत्र उवाच । तात सर्वं परिज्ञेयं ज्ञानमत्रैव वै यतः । ततः परं कंठशोषः किमर्थं क्रियते वद
putra uvāca | tāta sarvaṃ parijñeyaṃ jñānamatraiva vai yataḥ | tataḥ paraṃ kaṃṭhaśoṣaḥ kimarthaṃ kriyate vada
പുത്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “അച്ഛാ, അറിയേണ്ട ജ്ഞാനം എല്ലാം ഇവിടെ തന്നെയെങ്കിൽ, പിന്നെ തൊണ്ട വരണ്ടുപോകുന്ന വിധം പാരായണം എന്തിന്? അതിന്റെ പ്രയോജനം എന്തെന്ന് പറയൂ।”
