कौथुम उवाच । एवं ते वदमानस्य आयुर्भवतु ब्रह्मणः । साध्वी बुद्धिरियं तेऽस्तु कुतो नाध्येष्यतः परम्
kauthuma uvāca | evaṃ te vadamānasya āyurbhavatu brahmaṇaḥ | sādhvī buddhiriyaṃ te'stu kuto nādhyeṣyataḥ param
കൗഥുമൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്ന നിനക്ക് ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ലഭിക്കട്ടെ. നിനക്ക് ഈ സാദ്ധ്വിയായ ബുദ്ധി നിലനില്ക്കട്ടെ; പിന്നെ നീ ഉയർന്ന പഠനം എന്തുകൊണ്ട് തുടരാതിരിക്കും?”
