नृत्यंति देवि पद्माक्षि प्रसीदेति पुनःपुनः । ततः प्रसन्ना सा देवी व्रियतां स्वेच्छयाऽह तान्
nṛtyaṃti devi padmākṣi prasīdeti punaḥpunaḥ | tataḥ prasannā sā devī vriyatāṃ svecchayā'ha tān
അവർ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും നൃത്തം ചെയ്ത്—“ഹേ ദേവി, പദ്മാക്ഷി, പ്രസന്നയാകണമേ!” എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ ദേവി പ്രസന്നയായി—“നിങ്ങൾക്കിഷ്ടമുള്ള വരം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
