मूर्ध्नि पत्रं ततो न्यस्य न्यस्तपत्रं निवेशयेत् । पत्रे मंत्रस्त्वयं लेख्यो यः पुरोक्तः श्वयंभुवा
mūrdhni patraṃ tato nyasya nyastapatraṃ niveśayet | patre maṃtrastvayaṃ lekhyo yaḥ puroktaḥ śvayaṃbhuvā
അതിനുശേഷം അവന്റെ ശിരസ്സിൽ ഒരു ഇല വെച്ച്, വെച്ച ഇലയെ ഉറപ്പായി സ്ഥാപിക്കണം. ആ ഇലയിൽ, മുൻപ് സ്വയംഭൂ (ബ്രഹ്മാവ്) ഉച്ചരിച്ച അതേ മന്ത്രം എഴുതണം.
