ततो यज्ञोपवीतं दद्यात् अनेन मंत्रेण । सूत्रतंतुमयं शुद्धं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । यज्ञोपवीतं देवेश प्रगृहाण नमोऽस्तु ते
tato yajñopavītaṃ dadyāt anena maṃtreṇa | sūtrataṃtumayaṃ śuddhaṃ pavitramidamuttamam | yajñopavītaṃ deveśa pragṛhāṇa namo'stu te
തുടർന്ന് ഈ മന്ത്രത്തോടെ യജ്ഞോപവീതം സമർപ്പിക്കണം—‘ശുദ്ധ സൂത്രതന്തുക്കളാൽ നിർമ്മിതമായ ഈ ഉത്തമവും പരമപവിത്രവുമായ യജ്ഞോപവീതം; ഹേ ദേവേശാ! സ്വീകരിക്കണമേ; നമസ്കാരം.’
