तस्यासी दितरा नाम भार्या साध्वीगुणैर्युता । तस्यामुत्पद्यत सुतस्त्वैतरेय इति स्मृतः
tasyāsī ditarā nāma bhāryā sādhvīguṇairyutā | tasyāmutpadyata sutastvaitareya iti smṛtaḥ
അവന് ‘ദിതരാ’ എന്ന പേരുള്ള, സാധ്വീഗുണങ്ങളാൽ സമ്പന്നയായ ഭാര്യയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവളിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു പുത്രൻ ജനിച്ചു; അവൻ ‘ഐതരേയ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു।
