धर्मतो धनमाहार्य यष्टव्यं चापि यत्नतः । हीनेभ्योपि न युंजीत त्वंकारं कर्हिचिद्बधः । त्वंकारो वा वधो वापि गुरूणामुभयं समम्
dharmato dhanamāhārya yaṣṭavyaṃ cāpi yatnataḥ | hīnebhyopi na yuṃjīta tvaṃkāraṃ karhicidbadhaḥ | tvaṃkāro vā vadho vāpi gurūṇāmubhayaṃ samam
ധർമ്മമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ധനം സമ്പാദിക്കണം; പരിശ്രമത്തോടെ യജ്ഞയാഗങ്ങൾ നടത്തണം. താഴ്ന്നവരോടുപോലും അവഹേളനത്തോടെ ‘നീ!’ എന്ന ‘ത്വംകാര’ം ഉപയോഗിക്കരുത്; അത് വധംപോലെയുള്ള ഹിംസയാണ്. ഗുരുക്കന്മാരോട് അഹങ്കാരപൂർണ്ണമായ സംബോധനവും യഥാർത്ഥ വധവും—ഇരണ്ടും ഒരുപോലെ ഗുരുതരം.
