Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 132

भोजने शयने स्थाने उत्सर्गे मलमूत्रयोः । रथ्याचंक्रमणे चार्द्रपञ्चकश्चाचमेत्सदा

bhojane śayane sthāne utsarge malamūtrayoḥ | rathyācaṃkramaṇe cārdrapañcakaścācametsadā

ഭക്ഷണത്തിനു ശേഷം, ശയനത്തിനു ശേഷം, സ്ഥലം മാറ്റിയപ്പോൾ, മലമൂത്ര വിസർജനത്തിനു ശേഷം, വഴിയിൽ നടന്ന ശേഷം—എപ്പോഴും ആചമനം ചെയ്ത് ‘ആർദ്രപഞ്ചകം’ എന്ന ജലശുദ്ധികർമങ്ങളും ചെയ്യണം।
