Transliteration

eko vedaścatuṣpādaiḥ kriyate dvijahetave | itihāsapurāṇāni bhidyaṃte lokagauravāt

Translation

ദ്വിജന്മാരുടെ ഹിതത്തിനായി ഏകവേദം നാലു പാദങ്ങളായി (നാലു ഭാഗങ്ങളായി) ക്രമീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ലോകത്തിന്റെ ഗൗരവത്തിനും മാർഗ്ഗദർശനത്തിനുമായി ഇതിഹാസങ്ങളും പുരാണങ്ങളും വേർതിരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
