ത്രേതായുഗത്തിൽ വർണാശ്രമസ്ഥാപനവും യജ്ഞകർമ്മവും പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; എന്നാൽ സദാശിവധ്യാനമയാവസ്ഥ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് അവിവേകികൾ മറ്റുവഴികളിലൂടെ മോക്ഷം തേടുന്നു.
