Transliteration

ṣaṭtriṃśacca sahasrāṇi smṛtau caṭavirāṭakau | ṣaṭtriṃśacca sahasrāṇi yamakoṭiḥ prakīrtitā

Translation

ചടയും വിരാടകവും എന്ന രണ്ടു ദേശങ്ങളും ഷട്ത്രിംശത് സഹസ്ര ഗ്രാമങ്ങളുള്ളവയെന്നു സ്മൃതമാണ്. യമകോടിയും ഷട്ത്രിംശത് സഹസ്ര (ഗ്രാമ)പരിമിതമെന്നു പ്രഖ്യാതം.
