ഹിമവത് മുതൽ ഹേമകൂടം വരെ വ്യാപിക്കുന്ന പ്രദേശം ‘കിംപുരുഷ’ ഖണ്ഡം എന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഹിമാദ്രിയും സമുദ്രവും ഇടയിലെ ഭാഗം ‘നാഭിഖണ്ഡം’ എന്നും സ്മൃതമാണ്.
