शापितोऽसि मया प्राणैर्यथा वच्मि तथा कुरु । अहं सदा करिष्यामि दर्शे चोद्दिश्यते पितॄन्
śāpito'si mayā prāṇairyathā vacmi tathā kuru | ahaṃ sadā kariṣyāmi darśe coddiśyate pitṝn
എന്റെ പ്രാണശ്വാസങ്ങളുടെ ശപഥംകൊണ്ട് നീ ബദ്ധനാണ്—ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യുക. ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും ഈ കര്മ്മം ചെയ്യും; അമാവാസ്യാദിനം പിതൃകളെ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച് തർപ്പണം വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
