स तानचिंत्य दैत्येंद्रो देवबाणक्षतान्हृदि । बाणैर्व्योम दिशः पृथ्वीं पूरयामास दानवः
sa tānaciṃtya daityeṃdro devabāṇakṣatānhṛdi | bāṇairvyoma diśaḥ pṛthvīṃ pūrayāmāsa dānavaḥ
എന്നാൽ ആ ദൈത്യേന്ദ്രൻ അചിന്ത്യനായി നിന്നു; ദേവബാണങ്ങൾ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കുത്തേറ്റിട്ടും, തന്റെ അമ്പുവർഷംകൊണ്ട് ആകാശവും ദിക്കുകളും ഭൂമിയും നിറച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
