तुरंगाणां सहस्राणि गजानामयुतानि च । रक्तेन तेषां घोरेण दुस्तरा चाभवन्मही
turaṃgāṇāṃ sahasrāṇi gajānāmayutāni ca | raktena teṣāṃ ghoreṇa dustarā cābhavanmahī
ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് കുതിരകളും അയുതങ്ങളായ ആനകളും അവിടെ കിടന്നു; അവരുടെ ഭീകരരക്തം കൊണ്ടു ഭൂമി കടക്കാൻ ദുഷ്കരമായി മാറി.
