ब्रह्मोवाच । क्रूरभावं परित्यज्य यदीच्छसि तपः सुत । अनया चित्तबुद्ध्या तत्त्वयाप्तं जन्मनः फलम्
brahmovāca | krūrabhāvaṃ parityajya yadīcchasi tapaḥ suta | anayā cittabuddhyā tattvayāptaṃ janmanaḥ phalam
ബ്രഹ്മാവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ സുതാ, നീ തപസ്സു ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ക്രൂരഭാവം ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക. ഈ സത്യചിത്തവും ശുദ്ധബുദ്ധിയും കൊണ്ടു ജന്മഫലം പ്രാപ്തമാകുന്നു.
