तिष्ठ ब्रह्मन्क्षणमिति जल्पंतो राजमार्गगम् । याति निर्भर्त्सयत्येष निवर्तध्वमिति ब्रुवन्
tiṣṭha brahmankṣaṇamiti jalpaṃto rājamārgagam | yāti nirbhartsayatyeṣa nivartadhvamiti bruvan
‘ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ, ഒരു ക്ഷണം നിൽക്കൂ’ എന്ന് രാജപഥത്തിൽ അവർ വിളിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ അവൻ മുന്നോട്ടു തന്നെ പോയി; അവരെ ശാസിച്ച് ‘തിരിച്ചു പോവുക’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
