स्वार्थोद्युक्तधियो ये स्युरन्वर्थास्तेप्यसुंधराः । मरणं प्रकृतिश्चैव जीवितं विकृतिर्यदा
svārthodyuktadhiyo ye syuranvarthāstepyasuṃdharāḥ | maraṇaṃ prakṛtiścaiva jīvitaṃ vikṛtiryadā
സ്വാർത്ഥത്തിൽ മാത്രം മനസ്സ് ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവർ പേരിന് ‘ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർ’ ആണെങ്കിലും യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ജീവന്റെ ധാരകർ അല്ല. മരണം ‘സ്വാഭാവികം’ എന്നു കരുതുകയും ജീവൻ തന്നെ വികൃതിയാകുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മൂല്യങ്ങൾ മറിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.
