स्कंद उवाच । शृण्वगस्त्य महाभाग भविष्यं कथयाम्यहम् । कृष्णद्वैपायनो व्यासोऽकथयद्यन्महद्वचः । निश्चिकेतुमनाः पश्चाद्यत्करिष्यति तच्छृणु
skaṃda uvāca | śṛṇvagastya mahābhāga bhaviṣyaṃ kathayāmyaham | kṛṣṇadvaipāyano vyāso'kathayadyanmahadvacaḥ | niściketumanāḥ paścādyatkariṣyati tacchṛṇu
സ്കന്ദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ മഹാഭാഗ അഗസ്ത്യ, ശ്രവിക്ക; ഞാൻ ഭാവി പറയുന്നു. കൃഷ്ണദ്വൈപായന വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞ മഹത്തായ വചനം ശ്രവിക്ക; പിന്നെ തീരുമാനിക്കുവാൻ മനസ്സുറച്ച് അവൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതും ശ്രവിക്ക.
