paraṃ hi narmadeśasya mahimā kopi cādbhutaḥ | ityuktvā devadeveśastasmiṃlliṃge layaṃ yayau

നിശ്ചയമായും നർമദേശത്തിന്റെ മഹിമ പരമ അത്ഭുതമാണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ് ദേവദേവേശ്വരൻ ആ ലിംഗത്തിൽ ലയിച്ചു.
