dharmakriyāviluptāśca pravṛttāḥ sukṛtetarāḥ | ta eva jaladībhūya vavṛṣurnija līlayā

ധർമ്മക്രിയകൾ ലുപ്തമായി, ജനങ്ങൾ പുണ്യവിരുദ്ധമായ വഴിയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു; അവർ തന്നെ സ്വന്തം ലീലകൊണ്ട് മേഘങ്ങളായി മാറി മഴ പെയ്തു।
