गरुड उवाच । मत्स्यादिनां वसन्मध्ये कथं ज्ञेयो द्विजो मया अभक्ष्यो यस्त्वया प्रोक्तस्तच्चिह्नं किं चनात्थ मे

ഗരുഡൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മത്സ്യജീവികളുടെയും മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെയും ഇടയിൽ വസിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ദ്വിജനെ എങ്ങനെ തിരിച്ചറിയും? നീ ‘അഭക്ഷ്യൻ’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞവനെ അറിയാൻ ഒരു ലക്ഷണം എനിക്കു പറയുക।
