पुरा पितामहं विप्र मेरुशृंगे महर्षयः । प्रोचुः प्रणम्य लोकेशं किमेकं तत्त्वमव्ययम्
purā pitāmahaṃ vipra meruśṛṃge maharṣayaḥ | procuḥ praṇamya lokeśaṃ kimekaṃ tattvamavyayam
ഹേ വിപ്രാ! പുരാതനകാലത്ത് മേരു ശിഖരത്തിൽ മഹർഷിമാർ ലോകേശ്വരനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു—‘ഒന്നായ അവ്യയ തത്ത്വം ഏത്?’
