तं निवार्य तदा ब्रह्मा तारां पप्रच्छ संशयम् । प्रोवाच प्रांजलिः सा तं सोमस्येति पितामहम्
taṃ nivārya tadā brahmā tārāṃ papraccha saṃśayam | provāca prāṃjaliḥ sā taṃ somasyeti pitāmaham
അവനെ തടഞ്ഞ് ബ്രഹ്മാവ് സംശയം നീക്കാൻ താരയോട് ചോദിച്ചു. താര കൈകൂപ്പി പിതാമഹനായ ബ്രഹ്മാവിനോട്—“(ഈ ശിശു) സോമന്റേതാണ്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു।
