तावत्तताप स तपस्त्वगस्थिपरिशेषितम् । यावद्बभूव तद्वर्ष्म वर्षाणामयुतं शतम्

തൊലിയും എല്ലും മാത്രം അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത് വരെ അദ്ദേഹം തപസ്സ് ചെയ്തു. നൂറു അയുതം (പത്തു ലക്ഷം) വർഷത്തോളം അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ ശരീരം ആ അവസ്ഥയിൽ തുടർന്നു.
