वैराग्याद्गृहमुत्सृज्य गृहधर्मान्हृदि स्मरेत् । स भवेदुभयभ्रष्टो वानप्रस्थो न वा गृही
vairāgyādgṛhamutsṛjya gṛhadharmānhṛdi smaret | sa bhavedubhayabhraṣṭo vānaprastho na vā gṛhī
വൈരാഗ്യമെന്ന പേരിൽ ഗൃഹം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഗൃഹധർമ്മങ്ങളെ തന്നെ ഓർത്ത് മോഹിച്ചാൽ—അവൻ ഇരുവശത്തും വീഴ്ചപ്പെടുന്നു; വാനപ്രസ്ഥനും അല്ല, യഥാർത്ഥ ഗൃഹസ്ഥനും അല്ല.
