Narrator (contextual Purāṇic narrator addressing dvijas)
Tirtha: Setu-kṣetra (Rāmeśvara/Setubandha region)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Dvijas (twice-born audience)
Scene: A teacher-narrator seated before attentive dvijas, palm-leaf manuscript in hand, gesturing ‘in sequence’; behind them a symbolic seashore shrine silhouette indicating Setu-kathā’s setting.
Sacred listening (śravaṇa) to a tīrtha-māhātmya is itself a liberating practice when done with reverence.
The Setu/Rāmeśvara tīrtha context of Setukhaṇḍa is being introduced as salvific to hear.
Śravaṇa—attentive hearing of the māhātmya—is presented as the key practice and source of merit.
