यथा दक्षो दक्षपुत्रा स्तथा सप्तर्षयश्च ये । ततः प्रजानां पतयः प्राभवन्नेकविंशतिः
yathā dakṣo dakṣaputrā stathā saptarṣayaśca ye | tataḥ prajānāṃ patayaḥ prābhavannekaviṃśatiḥ
ദക്ഷനും ദക്ഷപുത്രന്മാരും പ്രജാസൃഷ്ടിയുടെ പ്രവർത്തകരായതുപോലെ സപ്തർഷികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയായി. അവരിൽ നിന്നു പിന്നെ പ്രജകളുടെ ഇരുപത്തൊന്ന് അധിപതികൾ—പ്രജാപതികൾ—ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചു.
