Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 55
अस्माभिर्हारिता जातिः कथं कुर्मः प्रतिग्रहम् । निवारितास्तु ते सर्वे स्थानान्मोहेरका द्विजाः
asmābhirhāritā jātiḥ kathaṃ kurmaḥ pratigraham | nivāritāstu te sarve sthānānmoherakā dvijāḥ
‘ഞങ്ങളുടെ വംശമര്യാദ ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു—ഞങ്ങൾ എങ്ങനെ പ്രതിഗ്രഹം (ദാനം) സ്വീകരിക്കും?’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് ആ മോഹേരക ദ്വിജന്മാരെ എല്ലാവരെയും അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് തടഞ്ഞ് നീക്കി।
