तीर्त्वाहं सागरमपि हनिष्ये राक्षसेश्वरम् । दक्षिणाशां प्रयातस्य सुग्रीवोऽथाभव त्सखा
tīrtvāhaṃ sāgaramapi haniṣye rākṣaseśvaram | dakṣiṇāśāṃ prayātasya sugrīvo'thābhava tsakhā
“ഞാൻ സമുദ്രവും കടന്ന് രാക്ഷസാധിപനെ വധിക്കും.” ദക്ഷിണ ദിശയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ അപ്പോൾ സുഗ്രീവൻ അവന്റെ സഖാവും സഹായിയും ആയി।
