मध्यं प्राप्ते सहस्रांशौ प्रस्थानं राघवस्य च । रामः कृत्वा प्रतिज्ञां हि प्रयातुं दक्षिणां दिशम्
madhyaṃ prāpte sahasrāṃśau prasthānaṃ rāghavasya ca | rāmaḥ kṛtvā pratijñāṃ hi prayātuṃ dakṣiṇāṃ diśam
സഹസ്രകിരണനായ സൂര്യൻ മധ്യാഹ്നത്തിൽ എത്തുമ്പോൾ രാഘവന്റെ പ്രസ്ഥാനം നടന്നു. രാമൻ പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്ത് തീർച്ചയായും ദക്ഷിണ ദിശയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു।
