महादेव उवाच । कथं व्यग्राः सुराः सर्वे बृहस्पतिपुरोगमाः । तत्समाचक्ष्व मां ब्रह्मन्भवतां दुःखकारणम्

മഹാദേവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—“ബൃഹസ്പതിയെ മുൻനിർത്തി എല്ലാ ദേവന്മാരും എന്തുകൊണ്ട് വ്യാകുലരാണ്? ഹേ ബ്രഹ്മൻ (ബ്രഹ്മാ), നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഃഖകാരണം എനിക്കു പറയുക।”
