कर्कटिकाश्चार्द्रयुता मरिचेन समन्विताः । एवंविधानि चान्नानि शाकानि विविधानि च
karkaṭikāścārdrayutā maricena samanvitāḥ | evaṃvidhāni cānnāni śākāni vividhāni ca
കർക്കടികാ എന്ന പച്ചക്കറികളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവ രസസമ്പന്നമായി നന്നായി പാകംചെയ്തതും കുരുമുളകാൽ സുഗന്ധിതവുമായിരുന്നു; ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള അന്നങ്ങളും നാനാവിധ ശാകങ്ങളും ഉപവ്യഞ്ജനങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു।
