पालनात्पोषणान्नॄणां धर्मो भवति वै ध्रुवम् । तत्तद्धर्मस्य भोक्ता त्वमित्येवं मनुरब्रवीत्
pālanātpoṣaṇānnṝṇāṃ dharmo bhavati vai dhruvam | tattaddharmasya bhoktā tvamityevaṃ manurabravīt
മനു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ജനങ്ങളുടെ പാലനവും പോഷണവും കൊണ്ടാണ് ധർമ്മം തീർച്ചയായി സ്ഥാപിതമാകുന്നത്. അതിനാൽ ആ ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ഭോക്താവും (ഉത്തരവാദിയും) നീ തന്നെയാണ്.
